Cosimo Presutti was a well
known figure around the centre of Edinburgh
for well over ten years, especially around Princes Street, The
Royal Mile
and St. Giles Cathedral where he regularly attended the Services
there.
Originally from Italy, Cosimo is believed to have come to Scotland
around 1963. Cosimo had chosen to live on the streets of Edinburgh
for around the last ten years of his life, and only last year
he suffered an
horrific attack by a gang who set fire to his clothes leading
to terrible burns
on his body. His unfortunate death on April 26th, 2001 occurred
when
he was struck and killed by a motor vehicle on the A71 road
on the outskirts
of Edinburgh. He will be sadly missed by the good people of
Edinburgh.

Cosimo is survived by his son
Donato, daughter Rosanna and her daughter.
